Our community and philanthropic involvement are centered on three pillars: Collaboration, Commitment, and Community. We recognize the value and benefit of volunteerism and its positive impact on our employees and our communities. That’s why we facilitate company-wide volunteer opportunities in each of our local markets and support individual efforts by providing paid time off annually for each employee.

Employee Engagement Survey
Piedmont Realty Trust periodically conducts employee engagement surveys to assess satisfaction and inform us on what matters most to our employees in creating a positive work experience. Based on a survey conducted in 2023, where 89% of employees company-wide participated, we achieved results 80% or higher in our focus on trust in leadership, workplace safety, culture, core values, management connectivity, total rewards and, communication.
Human Rights
We believe all individuals should be provided with equal opportunities and treated with dignity and respect. As such, we are committed to creating environments that are pleasant, healthy, comfortable and free from intimidation, hostility, or other offenses that may interfere with work performance. Discriminatory conduct of any kind against employees, suppliers, and vendors, regardless of geographical location will not be tolerated.

Health and Safety
It is our sincere intent to maintain a safe and secure workplace for all of its employees. Piedmont Realty Trust had no reportable incidents of work-related accidents or fatalities per OSHA requirements in the three years leading up to December 31, 2023. We do not tolerate fighting, threats, or acts of violence of any kind against employees, job applicants, clients, or vendors and workplace harassment of employees by third parties is strongly prohibited. Piedmont Realty Trust™ also provides medical (inclusive of mental health), dental, vision, disability, access to an employee assistance program, and life insurance for each employee and their families, as well as adoption support, parental leave, flexible work hours, and a work-from-home policy.
Vendor Code of Conduct
All vendors engaged in providing products and services to Piedmont Realty Trust are expected to comply and enforce the provisions found in our Vendor Code of Conduct, not only in their own organizations, but across their supply chain, including sub-vendors and subcontractors.

Political Advocacy
Piedmont Realty Trust does not contribute to or make expenditures on behalf of any federal, state or local candidates for election, referenda, or initiatives; political parties; political committees; or other political entities organized and operating under 26 U.S.C. Sec. 527 of the Internal Revenue Code. Piedmont Realty Trust does not contribute to any charity or non-profit organization at the request of any federal, state or local governmental office holder or any candidate for such an office; donate Company time, resources, products or services to any of the foregoing; or pay for advertisements, printing or other campaign expenses. During the year ending December 31, 2023, Piedmont Realty Trust made no political contributions.
