Our management team consists of individuals with corporate roles as well as regional operating teams with in-house property management and asset management expertise.

Piedmont's Southeast portfolio is comprised of over 4 million square feet located in Atlanta and Orlando.

Piedmont's Southwest region is comprised of approximately 2.7 million square feet located primarily in Dallas.

Piedmont's Northeast Region is comprised of over 5 million square feet of office space located primarily in Boston, New York, New Jersey and the metropolitan Washington, D.C. area.

Piedmont's Midwest Region, is comprised of approximately 3 million square feet located primarily in metropolitan Chicago and Minneapolis

Alex Valente

Alex Valente serves as the EVP for the Southeast Region and is based in Atlanta. He is responsible for all leasing and asset management activity for Piedmont's Southeast Regional portfolio as well as assisting with the acquisition and disposition of properties in that market. Mr. Valente has almost 15 years of real estate experience. During his tenure at Piedmont, he has worked on many complex transactions and has directly negotiated leases totaling over 3.9 million square feet. In addition to the Midwest, Mr. Valente has served several other of Piedmont's markets including New York, Washington DC, Atlanta, Florida, New Jersey and Northern Virginia. Mr. Valente is an active member of NAIOP.

Joseph H. Pangburn

EVP Southwest Region

Joseph H. Pangburn

Joseph H. Pangburn serves as our Executive Vice President - Southwest Region and is responsible for overseeing Piedmont's Southwest Region operations, comprised of approximately 2.7 million square feet located primarily in Dallas, including all development, leasing, asset management and transactional activity. A native of Dallas, Mr. Pangburn has approximately 30 years of real estate experience, including acquisitions, asset management, development, real estate loan restructuring, and workouts, most notably in the office and industrial sectors and concentrated on properties located in the western United States, and specifically in Texas. His career also includes tenures at Lend Lease Real Estate Investments, Inc. and Prentiss Properties Limited, Inc. Mr. Pangburn is a member of the Office Development Council of the Urban Land Institute.

Robert K. Wiberg

EVP Northeast Region and Head of Development

Robert K. Wiberg

As Executive Vice President for the Northeast Region and Head of Development, Mr. Wiberg is responsible for all leasing, property management, asset management, acquisitions and dispositions in our Northeast Region, as well as all development projects nationwide. Piedmont's Northeast Region is comprised of approximately five million square feet of office space located primarily in Boston, New York, New Jersey, and metropolitan Washington, D.C.  Mr. Wiberg's previous tenures include Brandywine Realty Trust as EVP, Prentiss Properties, Cadillac Fairview and Coldwell Banker (now CBRE). As a recognized industry leader, he has served on the board of directors of the Northern Virginia Chapter of NAIOP and the board of the Arlington Partnership for Affordable Housing and currently serves on the board of the Ballston Business Improvement District.

Thomas R. Prescott

Thomas R. Prescott

Thomas R. Prescott serves as Executive Vice President for the Midwest Region and is responsible for all leasing, asset management, acquisitions, dispositions and development projects for Piedmont's Midwest Region, which is comprised of approximately 3 million square feet located primarily in metropolitan Chicago and Minneapolis. Immediately prior to joining Piedmont in 2014, Mr. Prescott served as President of Metropolis Investment Holdings Inc., a Chicago-based investor and owner of Class A office properties, where he was responsible for overseeing the leasing, management and overall performance of the firm's 6 million square foot portfolio. Mr. Prescott has had a long career focused on the acquisition, leasing, development, and management of office, industrial and mixed-use properties throughout the United States and Canada, including tenures at Forest City Enterprises, Higgins Development Partners (formerly Walsh, Higgins & Company), and The Shaw Company. Mr. Prescott is a recognized real estate industry leader and a member of NAIOP and the Urban Land Institute.
